Bike for MS

In the end of June, Nate and his cousins Jared, Kristine, and Craig decided to participate in a 100 mile bike race for MS.  The only two people that really trained for it were Craig and Kristine.  Prior to the race, Nate had only ridden 17 miles total, but Nate is the type of guy that can do a race without training for it.

That Friday night, we drove up to Brigham City to hang out with Annie, Craig, and Porter the night before the big race which was in Lewiston.  We went to Mantua and Annie showed me how to mountain bike.  Let's just say I need a lot more practice, but I had a blast!  Jared and Kristine showed up around 11:30 that night.

The racers woke up early and started racing at 7:00, while Annie, Porter and I got to sleep in and enjoy the morning.  While we were waiting, we found this Dinosaur, and naturally took a picture.  Sidenote: this dinosaur is hollow.  Don't attempt to sit on it if you are a full grown adult.

We met them at around 1 pm for lunch. (they all looked exhausted)

They finished the race around 5pm.  That is 7.5 hours of actual riding time my friends.  I'm so proud of all of them.  They all did so well!  Nate wants me to do it next year.  I'm not so sure about it yet.  Biking is not really my thing.  We'll see...  Now for more pictures.
