21 Weeks

One prominent symptom this wee is that my back on the left side is starting to hurt only on one spot, but I can feel her kick which is always exciting!  Thanks to my job, we were able to go to the REAL game and be ON the field!  Kind of a cool experience.  They gave us dinner and everything.  Too bad the game was a huge disappointment.  We have started an Amazon registry and gave up after 10 minutes.  One look at all 50 strollers we could buy and that was overwhelming enough for me...  We'll try again next week.

For the 4th of July, we all got together to celebrate at Julie and Randy Bodtcher's house for breakfast.  All the pregnant cousins took the cute little picture again, but this time Melissa had Brightyn at 33 weeks.  Little tiny baby and her cute outfit was from the Build-a-Bear.  She really just looks like a little doll.

Meanwhile, there is a carrot in my belly.

All the women at the breakfast.  yikes!

That night, we met up with my family for Sandy fireworks, like we do annually.  It was SO hot and we got there much too early.  Still, we had a blast with the kids and everyone.

That night, we got a call saying that a firework had hit Steve Jackson right in the chest.  It was enough to burn a hole in his shirt and give him 2nd degree burns.  I just told him after he was doing ok, "Congrats Steve.  You are now a statistic"

The other super crazy thing that happened this week was the next day Amy's husband Casey went hiking and slipped on the snow and almost lost his ankle.  It was held on by major veins and his achille's tendon.  He had to be life-flighted out of the mountain and into surgery where they replaced his missing bones with temporary concrete.  He is stable now, but it was super crazy.  He has a long road of recovery.  Now they just worry about infection.
